Margaret
has been with Whitman Breed Abbott &
Morgan since 1994. She is an attorney in
the Real Estate Department of the firm,
with experience in commercial and residential
financing, sale and purchase transactions,
planned communities and condominiums, as
well as zoning and land use matters. Margaret represents homeowners and developers, as well as neighborhood
associations, condominium associations and taxing districts.
In June 2008, Margaret led the firm's representation of a large Greenwich developer in a commercial loan transaction related to the redevelopment of a parcel of land in the Byram area of Greenwich from commercial use to residential condominiums. Margaret also leads the firm's representation of this developer in the ongoing formation and development of its residential condominium complex, which includes a marina and boardwalk.
In addition to her private practice, Margaret
serves on the Byram Planning Committee (a committee of the Byram Neighborhood Association), which focuses on the development and beautification of Byram neighborhoods and is involved in the creation of the Byram Plan of Development, including the construction of two new pocket parks to be located on the Byram waterfront. Margaret also represents Save Our Shores, a Greenwich-based not-for-profit environmental organization
concerned with the preservation of Long
Island Sound and inter-coastal waterways. Margaret is the Chairwoman of the Greenwich Service Unit of the Salvation Army. Margaret was elected to the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Land Trust in January 2009. She is currently the Secretary of the Greenwich Preservation Trust, whose goal is to preserve historic structures in Greenwich.
Margaret grew up and resides in Greenwich.
