Profile
Richard is the head of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and is a member of the Business Law Department. He has been counseling clients for over 18 years on a wide range of intellectual property and business law matters.

Richard’s intellectual property practice includes the global selection, use and protection of trademarks, the protection of copyrights and trade secrets, trademark and copyright infringement matters, Internet and computer law, domain name disputes, and licensing matters. He has represented a large variety of businesses, not-for-profit institutions and individuals in connection with their intellectual property needs.

Richard represents the Firm’s business clients as both general counsel and special counsel in a wide range of corporate and business law matters, including business start-ups, commercial financing, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture agreements, control disputes, and general corporate matters. He also advises clients on labor and employment matters involving such issues as employment discrimination, sexual harassment, unfair labor practices, wage and hour and wrongful termination and personnel policies.

Prior to practicing law, Richard spent several years as a businessman successfully managing an automotive parts distribution enterprise.
